SWEET LAND

Presented by The Industry. Music by Raven Chacon and Du Yun. Guthrie performed cello in the orchestra


SEXTUOR: L’ORIGINE DES ESPÉCES

North American premiere by Georges Aperghis. Guthrie spearheaded this project as a concert performance, which was then fully produced at CalArts in collaboration with the theatre department. This North American premiere of the chamber opera was second only to the original premiere in Europe. She came across Aperghis’ chamber opera while researching for her undergraduate radio show “Atonal Bliss” and was determined to someday perform it.


MACBETH

Modern-English translation by Migdalia Cruz, produced by Hero Theatre as part of their Future Classics Reading Series. Guthrie performed in a string trio for this production.


FUR

by Migdalia Cruz. Guthrie performed voice, cello in a string quartet, and was co-composer.


100 DAYS

A rock opera with The Bengsons. Guthrie performed cello and voice in this production. Hundred Days is an uncensored, exhilarating and heartrending true story about embracing uncertainty, taking a leap, and loving as if you only had 100 days to live. Guthrie performed cello and voice for this production. Originally developed and produced by Z Space, Lisa Steindler, Artistic Director and Piece By Piece Productions/Wendy Vanden Heuvel. Further developed and produced off-broadway by The New York Theatre Workshop On December 4, 2017 (Jim Nicola, Artistic Director, Jeremy Blocker, Managing Director). The premiere of hundred days was developed and produced in partnership with San Francisco’s Encore Theater Company, Co-artistic Director, James Faerron.  Additional development was done at Know Theatre Of Cincinnati.

with Padua Playwrights. Guthrie performed solo cello and voice for Hello Say by Guy Zimmerman as part of The Hive Project, a triptych of new plays exploring the link between theatrical drama and the sociality of bees.
